Where has the summer gone?

Busy, Busy, Busy - is how I would say this summer has been. Can you believe that it is almost July - Wow before you know it we will be back in school!! (Have I really left yet?) Anyway we started summer off right with a great trip to Costa Rica. Celebrating our 15th Anniversary with the Bishops and the Hamiltons. Great fun and a beautiful place.....

What we looked at everyday from our casa- what a view

The Villa we rented - came with a staff - cook, bartender and maid.

Our house - up on the hill....
Wonderful way to vacation....

Our pool at the casa
Monkey Tour - Holly and Cari loved the monos
Kevin lost enough weight to do the zip
line.
I was brave and tackled rafting - paid my guide well - we stayed in the raft the whole time... Not everyone else could say that....

The birthday girls... the staff decorated and made a cake.

Kevin and his food.... Lobster - the cook didn't even serve him veggies..
Adios Costa Rica....

While we were in Costa Rica - Blaine did Golf Camp here. His game is improving....
Watch out Tiger!!!

Then Blaine did Theater Camp which presented the Jungle Book...
He was the vulture - I helped do costumes and some computer stuff...
Great fun...

Then this week we had bible school. I was in charge of crafts. We had a great group of kids.....

In between, we have gone to the pool, golfed, and just enjoyed the summer.....
Next week Blaine goes to church camp - oh boy....
Hope your summer is going great!!!!

Going to get better at blogging.....

Well, my New Year's resolution isn't holding up very well.... Things have been busy..... Blaine is playing baseball and recently he was in a play -Koobyrots (storybook spelled backwards). The play was written by a former La Mesa student, Todrick Hall that has hit it big on Broadway... He came back and did a week workshop and Blaine played a dwarf.... Blaine had a blast - Below is a picture of Blaine and Todrick and the other is Blaine, the lead actress from Dallas (she is on Barney!!) and Eden Grace. If I have time I will put a clip on his dance moves...oh my did he bust a move..

Hope things are well with everyone...

Long Time No Blog

Okay it has been forever since I have blogged. So lets see if I can catch you up. We really did leave Disney World.

Blaine survived First Grade. Here he is at the Awards Assembly with some friends.

We did Bible Schools, Baseball, Swimming Lessons, and Basketball Camp with Coach Thurman.

Did Golf Camp in Lubbock. Watch out Tiger!!!!!

The Gang is all here.... Brant, Zeke, Payton, and Blaine.

Celebrated the Fourth of July with friends and family.

Started Second Grade in Mrs. Patridge's Room. Having fun with Grayson.

Camped out on the deck of the garage with dad. They even brought the TV on the roof. Great fun.

We played a little flag football. We had a great season.

Before the game.....

Put me in coach........

Supported those Bulldogs................

G-daddie got a new puppy - Spike ....

He is so cute and sweet.

Kevin lived out his dream of going to Scotland to pay homeage to the Golf Gods.

This is my "Scotland"- a new laptop. Which explains the non-blogging. Have you ever tried to put all of you "old stuff" onto your new computer. Anyway - I love it.....

Blaine reached his AR goal for the first 6 weeks so he got to sit in the VIP section for our pep rally. All the Bulldogs came.... It was so fun....

All the VIPs.......

Even Spike showed up - WOW.....

Well I hope you have caught up on the Carters. We have been busy but love every moment of it. I will try to get better about posting again.... Have a super one.

Fantastic Friday

Wow.... our Friday started out with a Character Breakfast at our hotel ...Chef Mickey
This is a celebration where the characters come to your table and signs autograph books and takes pictures with your child... Here are Blaine's pictures...

Then we headed to Epcot.....

The "Epcot Ball".

Blaine's favorite ride....Mission Space... (not his parents though)... It gives you the experience of traveling into space... including lift off with G-forces and asteroid showers and it is even equipped with barf bags which Kevin and myself thought we might have to use. Not Blaine he was ready to ride it again... Needless to say we didn't.

Test track was a family favorite for everyone.... The ride takes you on a real test track to test brakes or the lack of, heat errorision, and then it takes you outside to get you to top speeds of 65 mph. We rode it many times.

Lunch was at the Japanese restaurant in the World Showcase (spotlights all the countries)
Here is Blaine looking "foreign" - very United Kingdom...

Then we came back and changed rooms... (the hike was crazy so we asked to be put in the main building...) Our room had been renovated and this is what it looked like.

A little different from the previous one..... ( totally different league... Kev loves the plasma TV).....

Terrific Thursday

Our first full day at Orlando..... We checked out of the Nick Hotel and then went to the Magic Kingdom and checked into our room....

At the Contemporary which is really close to the Magic Kingdom.... The cool thing is that the monorail goes right through it....

Our room looked something this (not our family though)

We weren't in the main building so we hiked a pretty good way but we were close to the water.

After check-in we headed to the Magic Kingdom.....

Wow... Cinderella's castle is amazing...... the Mickey in Blaine's hands is a great thing... It is an interactive toy that tells facts about the parks with a sensor in his nose that interacts when we go by the parks sensors. It will tell about the rides, do jokes, and many more things. It was his first purchase from the loot G-Daddie, Nani, and Poppie gave him.

A little rain dampened things for a while but luckily we were waiting inside for a ride so we just watched other people getting wet.

One of the last rides before we left the park was the old standard.. It's a Small World... A great ride....

Then we had tickets to see...

An awesome show.... We have seen many cirque performance but this was one of my top favs.... the four little japanese girls were amazing and stole the show....

Here is the official website... if you are interested.....

One of my surprises was to eat at Wolfgang's restaurant. Wow was the food great. I had crabcakes, shrimp and scallop fetticini, and a super dessert. Here is Blaine with his dessert. It was create your own sundae.....

Lastly before we passed out, we went to Disney Quest.... an arcade where you pay one price at the door and then you need no coins. We had a good time. I even relived the old days and got my skills back on Frogger and Dig Dug. Wow. There was also a River Rafting Virtual Experience where the family practiced their rowing. Both Kev and I decided we were definately out of shape......
