OH MY - No time to blog... end of school

Lots has happened.... let's see if I can catch you up...

Blaine received a big trophy at the Cub Scouts' Awards Ceremonies for his Derby Win....

WOW!!!!!!

Then Spring Break... We had a blast just staying home and playing outside. Blaine is on top of his "shop" shooting his mother - I think......

Next - Kevin's cousin got married in Austin.... Here is Blaine waiting to go to the big celebration....Doesn't he looked handsome?

Then to Houston to the doctor. Of course we went to the Children's museum ... one of our favorite stops. Great book chair huh???? The doctor's visit went well. Everything looked great and they said they would see us in 6 months.

Another great "toy" at the museum - the bubble maker......

Wow - the Kissmobile stayed at our hotel....Blaine wasn't as impresed as MOM!!!!

Then we went to the Zoo..... Another favorite Houston place we love to visit - it is really close to the doctor's office

There was a new baby giraffe... doesn't look like a baby does it????

Now we have almost completed our first "real" season of baseball. We have played t-ball but this year we played coach pitch in the Optimist League. Blaine has really improved. We had a good season and now are in the tournament. We won our first game but have been rained out since Thursday. Oh well stay tuned....

Lastly we are going to Disney World this week. Kevin left today and Blaine and myself will fly on Wed. We can't wait.... MICKEY MOUSE!!!!

Long time no blog.....

It has been forever since I have placed any new items on this blog. Believe me time hasn't stood still. Blaine and the rest of the Carter Clan have been moving and shaking through February and now into the month of March.....

Blaine played YMCA indoor soccer. Our first time to play this. We all loved it. Linda Gayle (Brant's mom) was our fearless coach. A great season was had by all.

And of course we got a trophy...... Great job Blaine.... Soccer King

Also.... I got to go on a walking field trip with Blaine to the neighborhood Fire Station. So fun.

Here is Jacob and Blaine before going into the field trip. Wonder what these two were discussing (or scheming) ....

Last but not least another class picture..... Good looking group huh???????

100th Day of School

Can you believe we have been in school 100 days. Today Blaine and the rest of the First Graders celebrated being 100 days smarter by dressing up like 100 year old people......

FYI - to see the pictures bigger just click on them..

Can you find Blaine? He is looking pretty old...

Did you recognize him???

Look who I caught out in the hall? Just coming back from the library... Hundred year old people still read books....

It was a great day but I bet Blaine will be ready just to be a normal First Grader on Friday..
Have a good one...

Merry Christmas

The last day of school (Dec. 21) we had a schoolwide pajama day. We also have a parade using the teachers AV carts. Blaine got to push Mrs. True's cart shown above. He loved getting to wear his PJs to school.

Jace and Blaine after the Church Christmas Program. Blaine was a wiseman. The kids did a great job.

Blaine on Christmas Eve. Wondering what Santa will bring him. His favorite gift probably was FLOAM. (Styrofoam type playdough) It was a techno Christmas with a Gameboy, games for his Leapster LMax, and games for his Playstation 2. Wow!!! We did have a great one and are so blessed with great family and friends.

Kevin cooking on Christmas Day. It is a tradition that when we go to Dad's for Christmas we have steak prepared by Chef Carter. They were awesome.

Blaine Turns 7!!!

This is what a 7 year old looks like.

This is Captain America.... better known as Blaine. We had a fall festival at Church on the 19th. Travis (Associate Pastor) did the amazing work above.

We had a good time... My job was to run the jumpy joe!!!

Blaine jumping in the jumpy joe.... it was chilly. Later that night we had the big slumber party.

Here they are.... no Blaine isn't 25!!! 2+5 I try to make everything a learning experience. Not really... Just hadn't bought the 7 yet.

This is a fake.... Blaine, Zeke, Jacob, and Jace

This is more like it... Party, Party.... We did have good time!!!

The next day we attended Payton's theatrical performance.(He didn't attend the slumber party due to the Bulldogs in the playoffs.)Payton in the playbill gave a special thanks to his best friend Blaine. Paytonian remember us when you are a star on Broadway.

Payton, Conner, and Blaine...Hard to believe - Conner was one of my first Post Office employees when he was in third grade...... He has changed. Well it was a great birthday weekend filled with fun, friends, and festivities. Ahhhh... to be seven again.....

Happy Halloween

Well the Halloween "week" is finally complete. Blaine's social calendar has been pretty full. Last Wednesday we had Trunk or Treat at church. Here are a few pictures from the festivities.

McKinley, Blaine, Zeke, Jace and Payton ready to trunk or treat

Doesn't Landry look adorable as Tigger?

Payton and Zeke handing out candy from the Carter mobile. I think our "trunk" decorations were very festive.

On to the next social moment. Blaine helped host a "First Grade" Halloween party at Brant Walker's house. It was filled with pumpkin rolling, cake walks, and even a hay ride.... Fun, Fun, Fun. The "mummy" pictures are from the mummy wrap where the kids wrap toliet paper around their friend to create a "mummy"!!!

The mighty Power Ranger Blaine.

Have you ever seen Little Eli so still?

Andrew "wrapping" Blaine. What are friends for????

Last but not least.... Trick or Treating Halloween night...

Baby Deuce.... The cutest chicken ever.... Isn't he the cutest?

In Trick or Treat mode......Great decorations at the Kollmans.

Blaine had a great Halloween and he thanks all of you for all the treats. The picture shows the treats he got at the Streets' house. A $20.00 bill and golf balls. What more could a boy ask for? Hopefully your Halloween was filled with lots of treats and just a few tricks.
See you soon.
